Interiors for Dead Animals
A rearranged cabinet, a tower of curiosities, some posthumous vanity—interiors for dead animals. Far from the "new interior" Theo van Doesburg called for, these interiors, like their contents, are resurfaced relics, endangered styles, and full of fake parts. The tower housed animal and fossil remains during events throughout the summer. Each cabinet door opening triggered lights and specific sounds, animating lifeless specimens.
Installation for the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles.
